• Charlie defended his brother Zach after he gave Bryce honest relationship advice about Trinity on Love Island USA.
  • Fans criticized Zach for potentially sabotaging both his own relationship and Bryce’s connection with Trinity.
  • Charlie clarified that Bryce initiated the conversation, seeking Zach’s opinion on their compatibility.

Though Charlie Georgio was in the Love Island USA Villa last summer, he’s still weighing in on some drama surrounding the show thanks to his younger brother, Zach.

In case you need a lil refresher, Zach is paired up with Kayda Bosse, a Bombshell who chose him over his bestie, Bryce Dettloff, who’s been exploring a connection with Trinity Tatum. During the show’s June 12 episode, Bryce asked Zach what he truly thought about Trinity—and Zach didn’t hold back. He ultimately told Bryce that their personalities don’t match and insinuated that he has a better time hanging out with him and his partner, Kayda. Ouch.

A few days after the conversation aired, Charlie hopped on his Instagram Stories to address the backlash his brother received for keeping it real with his bromance.

“Yeah, so I’m gonna touch on this whole Bryce, Trinity, and Zach situation. Listen, as far as I’m aware, it was Bryce that came to Zach throughout the day expressing his doubts and insecurities within his relationship with Trinity, and Zach simply gave him his opinion,” Charlie, who competed on season 7 of the show, said in a clip posted to his Instagram Stories on Monday, June 15.

He continued defending his younger brother, adding, “So, to all the people talking about ‘Zach needs to mind his own business’…Respectfully, it was Bryce who brought his and Trinity’s business to Zach, so of course, you’re going to get an opinion back.”

This all comes after Zach received some flak for giving his honest opinion to Bryce, who sought advice from him.

“At this point Zach is self sabotaging his relationship with Kayda, he messed up Bryce and Trinity relationship. So at this point Zach and Bryce gotta go because it seems like Bryce will listen to his man even all the nonsense he was saying. So it’s time for the Love birds go home,” one fan criticized on social media.

Someone else chimed in, comparing Zach’s strategy to Kendall Washington’s on season 6. “Its giving game playing. Trinity have been coupled up from day 1 and theres always 1 couple like that go tot he final. Hes planning on coasting with Kayda but makes it hard to win if Brinity are always ok. Its Kendall all over again,” they theorized.

So, is there really trouble in paradise between Zach and Bryce? Or are we looking too much into the drama? Let’s hope their bromance survives another day in the Villa.
